Thanks for the information Gary...  I usually put a fail-safe current cutout
in the + supply of power amps when testing so that I save the transistors in
case of thermal or wrong-bias runaway...  I will study that page and see
what I can do with the radios I have here... I got them (one is a Spectrum I
think) just before having those disabling strokes caued by Vioxx and I no
longer want to go the batlabs route to multi-channel ham transceivers...
so, the logical use for the radios is to pull the power amps and make them
stand-alone units for 6 and 2...
