[Motorola] Comm port setting for Ribless Prog. Cable?

Yeah, I only have Com1, so no mouse! Use this computer for programming XTR Midlands, but a first for any Motorola radios.

You set the serial port in the RSS.  There is a port test function in the RSS.  The RSS is DOS so you don't need the mouse.

Hello Gang, 



Should the Com1 setting be the same as the serial mouse uses, when I plug in the ribless prog. cable? (HT1000). I am not getting any indication of cable being connected. 

Computer is 486DX-33, running Win 3.11 and Dos 6.20 (Am running at 16 mHz speed) 



RSS is ver. 3.00.00..................No indication of radio connected. I do not want to condemn the cable yet. 



Any ideas or comments will be well taken.......................Merry Christmas Season!
