[Motorola] Multi-XFL Radio

I picked up an unusual Motorola radio this morning at an electronics flea
market. It's marked Multi-FXL on the front panel, and is basically a small
chassis about the size of a Mocom-35 with a front panel speaker and switches
marked Local-Remote and a squelch-mute switch, volume control plus a
2-channel selector. Inside, there are HT-200 circuit boards and an RF power
amplifier along with what looks like COR circuitry and an audio amplifier
board.

The model number is just SP- plus a bunch of digits. The frequencies listed
on the nameplate are 2 channels in the 165 MHz range, so I am thinking this
must be a federal government contract radio dating from approximately 1970,
possibly a fire lookout application.

Anybody familiar with this radio?
