[Motorola] Inquiry

I am not a lawyer. But if these are used units, your waybills need to say so, as I think they are not subject to duty, taxes or other fees. There should be a place on the documentation where you can briefly tell the story, eg. "Units are used equipment, purchased MM/DD/YY in the US, and were used at a Canadian trade show, and now are being returned to their point of origin."

Importing implies new equipment, and duty to be paid when it enters a country.

If you're gonna ship these, you might ask the carrier. Also check web pages of US Customs, etc., to play safe.

Hope this helps, but do the research so's you do it right.

  Subject: [Motorola] Inquiry

  Hi
Is anyone familiar with thr procedures and forms needed to import owned Motorola portables back into USA?

We plan to use some CP200 UHF units that are owned by a trade association at a small meeting in Canada ansd the paperwork for bringing them back seems unusual.

Please contact as soon as possible

  Thanks
