[Motorola] mistry maxtrac board

I opened up a Maxtrac that I just received today and found a board that I have never sceen before.  It was piggy-back mounted to the channel select board on the front panel and had several wires coming out of a plug that were soldered to the main board.  It was marked as  HLN9376A.  Anybody know what this board is for?  Thanks, Jeff
