[Motorola] Expo battery

You don't want to mess with an alternate charger, you'd only be asking for 
grief. Find one from one of the suppliers mentioned, and/or pay the price on 
the E-Place.

You are trying to get an old Motorola HT up and running, this is not unlike 
restoring a classic car. Be prepared to spend money.
