IF THEY HAVE THE CORRECT DESK MIKE, THEY SHOULD PROVIDE A GROUND AS IF IT  
WERE IN MOBILE USE. If you use something else such as a Kenwood mike, MFJ,  
etc... Then you will need to provide a separate grounding source. Same with  
running it as digital data or similar.

I'd assume  that there then needs to be a radio accessory connector pin 
programmed to  get it's mic hang ground from the adapter?
