[Motorola] Quantar Dual Receiver Tricks

Has anyone tried the following in a Quantar repeater?:

1.	Install dual receivers.
2.	Set both receivers on the same mode, frequency and squelch code.
3.	Put a special pattern antenna on the second receiver to hear in
a weak spot.
4.	Set the repeater to scan between both receivers (like a poor
mans voter)
