Jay,

Your CDM1250 model AAM25KKD9AA2_N is rated for 25-45 watts, and is both
physically and electrically different from the CDM1250 model AAM25KHD9AA2_N,
which is rated for 1-25 watts. The PA board in the high-power radio has
four LDMOS transistors, while the low-power radio has three. There are
other component differences for power control and tuning, along with
model-specific firmware and CPU masking. You cannot change the power ranges
with CPS or the Global Tuner, but you can adjust the power within the ranges
noted above.

Subject: [Motorola] CDM 1250 Power Control?

I have several VHF CDM1250s, Model AAM25KKD9AA2AN.
The power output in these is only adjustable to about 20-55 watts.
I need to adjust power to 5 watts in some channels.

Is this possible in some but not other CPS/Tuner versions?

Is there a way around the lower power limit?
