Were those the radios used by Khan Sat(sp), the Vietnamese Polide.. aka white mice? I seem to remember that the radios were provided by USAID. I was in the Air Force for my first tour there. We had a plethora of radios. 24 volt motracs, HT-200's, the pakset radios that used the HT-220 type boards (DEN?). Also we had Motorola techs on the base, They had their shop in a Jamesway hut close to the MARS station when I was at NhaTrang by the sea. Later, I went with Air America, working in flight operations, but that's another story for another time.

Oh, that's right, I forgot about the Vietnam Motorola radio, which was
apparently a subcontract of the Hallicrafters HT-1 series except VHF and FM.
Motorola model number Z-1000, I still have the manual.
