Joe,

I don't think you can pad the cavities with an external capacitor and expect
it to move them lower in frequency, but since the Sensicon A should tune
down to 146.52 as it is, why bother trying.

I was using Bomar crystals for awhile but they started requiring a minimum
order which made things difficult.  They also raised their prices to where
they were about on a par with International, namely $ 20 per crystal, which
is getting a bit pricey for those of us who have been around for awhile and
recall the usual $ 7.95 crystal prices...

By the way, the -BY series base stations were produced from about 1951-54.
They were long gone by the 1960's.
