Hello Motorola reflector members,from Joe w5jdy in Okla...  I have come-upon
a Boatanchor Motorola tube type
Business Band two-way radio known as a BY...  It has a Full Sensicon
Receiver strip PA-8433-A  and a 60 Watt
Transmitter strip P-8491-B that uses an 829B output tube...  In the manual
the range is said to be 152mc-174mc. I
would like to convert this two way radio to 146.52mc 2 meter ham
frequency...  I know this appears to be a crazy
project but I like the radio and it performs well..  I know the crystals
will have to be changed and I have their frequencies (rec 28.204mc and the
trans 6.105mc)... If anyone can help me with any information about this
