Unfortunately you can NOT scan all 128 channels. This is the only thing I
hate about the Spectra's. They only allow a scan list of 16ch's, or you can
set up the radio for zones and have a scan list per zone, but your still
limited to the same number.
If the radio is programmed with user programmable scan then you push and
hold the Scan button until it beeps and the display says sel mode, then you
scroll through the modes with the mode rocker and use the Sel key to add
them to the list, you will see Pri or Non Pri above each mode as you select
it, obviously your going to want to put them all as Non Pri unless you want
priority channel sampling active during scan. Once you get sixteen modes in
there it will show LST FULL and your done, tap the Home key to exit the
programming mode.
If it wasn't setup with user programmable scan then you will need to
reprogram with RIB and RSS to get anywhere further with it.

Scott

Subject: [Motorola] Motorola Spectra question.
G'day to the list !
I have a question to the list with regards to the Motorola Spectra
mobile transceiver. Specifically a model DA7KX+068W (128 ch). I am
using the radio for antenna tests (range, etc.) for a given band. The
radio works fine, but I don't have any docs on it.
I was curious to know about the scan function, and how to set it up. I
played unsuccessfully with the function, and if some kind soul out there
might just give me a step-by-step instruction to scan all 128 channels,
I would be very grateful.
Many thanks in advance for guidance.
Kindest regards,
-Scott
