John,

The "family name" on the front of a radio almost never provides information
about what band a radio is on. Take off the battery and look for a model
number on one of the labels stuck to the chassis. It will be of the form
AAH25KDH9AA2AN, but the letters and digits will be different from this
example. Once you tell us what the model number is, we can identify the
radio.

Subject: [Motorola] CP-300 What is it exactly?

Hi All, I received as part of a purchase from State Surplus a CP-300
Motorola HT. I can only get a partial charge on it, as it didn't come
with a charger. Is it GMRS/UHF Business Band or an oversized FRS? It has
a bunch of symbols on its display when it first powers up, but has no
battery cover and none of my MAHA adapter cups for charging have the
right pin placement to do a full recharge. Antenna is short, so I am
GUESSING it is UHF. Any other details out there?
Thanks Much,
John Jewkes
