[Motorola] Quantar VHF Bandspread?

I've heard reports of people running them in the 147 area just fine. I've
never done it personally (my weapon of choice is a Kenwood TKR-750, but that
won't do ASTRO), but supposedly they'll work fine down to low 147/high 146,
then get unhappy quickly.

I know of at least 3 repeaters on the air with a range 2 Quantar that all
just work, all in the 147.2-147.3 range.

VHF Range 1 - 136-154
VHF Range 2 - 150-174
UHF Range 1 - 403-433 (there's supposedly a modified 380-433 version out
there too)
UHF Range 2 - 440-470
UHF Range 3 - 470-490
UHF Range 4 - 490-520

Can someone tell me if the Motorola VHF Quantar is fully 136-174 MHz, or are

band splits and different models for the different VHF band splits?
