Glenn,
I looked up KXN1132A on Motorola Online, and noted that it has been replaced
with 4883851N02. The description of the KXN1132A is "OSC ULTRA HIGH STABILITY
24V" and the description of the 4883851N02 is "XTAL OSC 51N02." The current
list price is $ 3,430.60. I agree that it is probably an ovenized unit, and
its stability should be 0.1 ppm or better. Such oscillators are necessary in
simulcast systems, but the availability of GPS-disciplined reference
oscillators is pushing the less-accurate (!) ovenized oscillators into the
surplus market.
Call Motorola Parts ID at 800-422-4210 and ask for the number of the applicable
service manual. This unit is probably made by an outside vendor such as
Symmetricom (Hewlett-Packard), and if so, the tech data will likely not be
available from Motorola.
