[Motorola] HT 90 (Motorola) and some off topic stuff about the cars I had problems with.

Hello,

I have a problem, I have several HT-90's that are on a commercial frequency
and during a car cruise last year when we tried to use them. These cars are
from 1930 to 1940's and the radios were almost unusable because of the
ignition noise! I would not worry too much about this but there was some
$49.00 FRS radios that worked just fine, no ignition noise whatsoever!

Guess I could tell you a little about the cars. They were built from 1930
until 1941, they were the American Austin's and Bantams. Cool cars. They
have either a 18 horsepower or a 22 horsepower engine and were the first
American built Sub-Compact economy car, weigh only about 1,200 pounds.
These cars were not their real claim to fame though. In 1941 they developed
and delivered the first American built Jeep. This Jeep called the BRC
(Bantam Reconnaissance Car) was better in field tests that either the
Willy's or Ford products. Through some questionable Quartermaster tactics
they were prevented from building many. Most went to Russia. You can find
more on these cars on the internet search engines.

Has anyone had this problem and does anyone know of a fix?

Thanks,
Paul
