Hi Don
One of my GP300 radios has the display. The display shows channelnumber,
status of battery, PL/open squelsz, incomming calls. This radio is a
Europerean radio and does not support the MDC, QCII and singletone signaling
but support CCIR and ZWEII tone signaling.

I Don't know if any American GP300 has the display, but most of the
Europerean models do have it.

Please mail to me in private if you wants some pictures of the radio with
display.
If anyone is interested it will be for sale (VHF, 16 channels.)
