Dick,
They are the same radio, except for different firmware loads and memory
allocation. The GP380 is manufactured for the European market, so it
must meet EC Directive 89/336/EEC and ETS 300 113. The European rules
differ significantly from the FCC Rules. Some of the significant
differences between the two radios are:
GP380 has 255 channels maximum, HT1250 has 128.
GP380 has 5-tone select call, HT1250 has QCII
GP380 requires EU CPS, HT1250 requires AA CPS
