[Motorola] Difference between Model Numbers?

What's the difference between D51LRA9732BK and D51LRA9734BK?
Is there a site that would decode the various model numbers for 
Maxtrac/Radius?
Is it true that the early Maxtrac and Radius each require dedicated 
programming software? If so, are the "PROMS" different between the two radios?
