[Motorola] Quantar Repeater Knockdown?

Quantarists on the Reflector:
I am looking for ways to set up and knock down mixed-mode Quantar repeaters,
using
P17 (the 50-pin connector) and external closures (remote control).
The repeaters are NON-wireline, non-trunked, non-voting, non-LAN.
Set up and knock down need to be separate in each repeater... no auto
switchover or hot standbys.

The strange thing is, IF the Quantar is in analog, I can short pins 7 and
11, and knock down the
transmitter. When I reprogram a Quantar to mixed-mode, this is no longer
possible.

System Support did not grasp that I need an external closure to knock down a
mixed-mode Quantar;
nor did they understand that I am doing this now (in analog), and that I
need the same thing to happen
in a mixed-mode Quantar.

Does anyone have P17 pinouts and wildcard settings that will allow a simple,
knockdown
with external (customer supplied) latching closures......for analog and
mixed mode digital?

Thanks for reading,
Jay
