[Motorola] DVP-XL vs DES-XL Audio Quality?

We have used both DVP and DES.  Motorola even converted several of the old 
DVP units to DES for us.  Been a long time ago though and I was not all 
that involved in the actual change.  From what I remember, Motorola told 
us that DES would have better range than DVP.  But if it does, we were not 
able to see the difference.  Might be due to the difference between 
the "laboratory" and the "real world."

I don't really remember how the DVP audio sounded.  DES is OK.  But it is 
not natural sounding.  You can normally recognize the voice of the person 
you are talking to though.  But you probably already knew that.  ;-)
