The ones you want are the "Orange Label" EEPROMS and not the fusable link one
shot proms, they are interchangable however and I have in the past used pulled
proms from other equipment to sub in place.

If you want to play in the Syntor-X game invest in a good tabletop programmer
like the Intronix Pocket Programmer-II and a copy of SPROG. The Motorola R-1800
suitcase programmer that was normally used to program was and still is very
expensive and cumbersome not to mention heavy. I dont recall if it will let you
program into the 6M ham band or not, mine did not let me do any ham programming
so out the door it went. Now I use SPROG and the pocket programmer to do customer
and my own Syntor-X's and never once had an issue with it. I build repeaters out
of Syntor-X's for both crossband linking and standard offsets.

I have provided the URL link for the Pocket Programmer but you are on your own
for SPROG. SPROG was developed outside of Motorola so you dont have to worry
about the RSS Cops chasing you down. The older version that was on Batlabs was
for VHF only but the later versions will let you do just about anything within
the ham bands.
