If you are sure that Cingular is on that tower, then you are probably 'too close.' The downtilt of the antennas may be aimesd towards the horizon and you may be in a dead spot. The same thing happened to me trying to get some wireless internet stuff going at a place. 40ft tower and right under the antenna and no or marginal signal.
How does the signal get as you move away from the tower?
