Well, you didn't say what KIND of radios (I wouldn't reccoment MOTRACs,
theyre kinda big :), but MITREKs are smaller than MICORs or SYNTORs :)

How about a toolbox on the truck? (one of the across-the-bed boxes) or
a "deck box" which would sit lower than the bed rails... Cooling might
be a problem, as you really can't cut holes in the box (radios don't
like rain or snow too much...).... Or what about mounting them under
the back seat? If it's like most trucks, you have SOME space under the
back seat.... Bass Pro and Cabellas Used to sell spacer kits to pick the
back seat up about an inch and a half to put more space under it....

Good luck & 73!
Ken

Good Morning,

Hopefully this isn't too far off topic...I suspect a lot of
folks on this list have some experience installing these radios as
well as repairing them.

The vehicle is a Toyota King Cab pick-up ('91), and I want to
put at least two (and three if possible) trunk mount in the truck.
Where do you put the trunk part when there is no trunk? :) I'd still
need to put two people in the back seat (Mom wouldn't approve taking
the kids to school riding in the bed).

Is there a truck bed solution that protects the equipment
adequately?

Thanks for the ideas, and I apologize if its too far
off topic.

                   Dennis
