Our guys on our 900 mhz Amateur Radio repeater use the MTX 9000 B3[ non
DTMF keypad] and the B7 version [w/DTMF keypad] and we **LOVE 'Em**. I
don't know the current mfg history [are they still being made or are they
now defunct] so that part is a dead issue for us. Who knows...maybe the
eBAY "connection" that we use and have won these B3's and B7's.....maybe we
might get lucky and get a couple more HT's for our ever expanding repeater
network.
With regards to the HT-1000....my employer and their management staff all
use extensively the UHF version of the HT-1000. I **wish** I could get my
grubby hands on one [UHF HT-1000] to use on our 449.925 Ham repeater. I've
been using the MT-1000 HT seems like ages and **LOVE** the MT-1000! So
indeed Motorola "ROCKS".....in our [Pima Radio Network] book!
