Jay,

The SAM module for the Quantar would give you the DTMF control capability.
You can do basic Repeater access and set up/knockdown with just the SAM, but
to do any more remote control functions it requires the Enhanced wildcard
which is only functional with the 8 wire Tone Remote Board. A few ground
operate type functional can be done using the Basic wildcard which is
functional with the 4 wire Tone Remote Board. The even more can be done with
Enhanced Wildcard/8W ire Tone Remote Board. I worked on this radio in the
product group at Moto, while I was there.
