[Motorola] Research Line for amateur use

I used to work on UHF MOTRAN's in the NY Telephone Company's radio shop. We
used them in the company's maintenance radio system. They were single
channel, no PL. I think they might have had inverters for the 24 V final
transistors, but I do know they were all
solid state at the time (1970's). Then we went to MICOR's with Quik Call
tone heads. Some of the MOTRAN's had tone burst heads (a separate casting
that hung below the metal control head) and Quik Call, too.
