    You should be aware that the micor repeater will still be noisy if the  
user radios do not employ reverse burst pl.
You can also speed things up by clipping( or reducing) the appropriate
filter 
capacitors in the noise squelch section(probably on the sq gate card).
This trick works on other radios as well.
