Absolutly not. The only way to do this is change the radius firmware to Maxtrac
v-5.34 and blank the board using an authorized copy of Lab RSS. Attempts to
write a Radius by using the forced (get from archive and program without read)
will render the radio useless.

now if I could find a good genuine copy of LAB I would be in heaven!

I do however have some BINs of Maxtrac firmwares that were taken from a V-5.34
PROM so if you have a means of burning an EPROM (27C256) and can keep the
checksum this might help you out a little. This way you can make it a real
Maxtrac and take the proper bandsplit archive and cram it down the mic
connector.
