Hello. I am new to the list and I need help. I have a surplus Motorola
Signal Generator S-1318A manufactured by MEASUREMENTS of Boonton, New Jersey
for Motorola. I need to buy a manual or find a site I can go to to view a
manual on line. I have always loved the Motorola Signal Generators and I
finally got one and would like to make it operational. I have several issues
that I would like help on.

1. Where do I find the power cords with the three round holes in them?

2. Inside the case on the top right hand side just behind the front panel is
4 plug in circuit boards. Three of them are locked in and run parallel to
the front panel. One of them is not locked in and runs perpendicular to the
front panel. This one was found loose in the bottom of the case. There are
no markings or anything that indicates how the circuit board goes. Using the
SWAG system (Scientific Wild Ass Guess) I assumed that the side with the
adjustable pots are facing left so you can get to them to adjust them. If
put in facing right the other three boards blocks the pots, but it can be
done. I need to verify that the board goes in with the pots facing left.

3. The 20 db pad is missing, but isn't everybody's?? Anybody have one for
sale?

4. It works kind of, but not on the UHF band that uses harmonics. Either the
Signal Generator is bad or my receiver is bad???

5. I can test it on the other bands OK, but I really have to crank it up to
be able to receive the signal on any receiver. I need to adjust something???

6. Also I don't find any Modulation on the carrier. Maybe I am not setting
it right or something is wrong???

Any help would be greatly appreciated and boy do I need a manual. Both to
fix it and to operate it. Thanks.
