[Motorola] LF Experiences w/Flexar Base

Greetings Group,

Just recently aquired a M' Flexar Base unit.
This unit hasn't been delivered yet, but it
should arrive soon.

What I'd like to hear about is anyones experiences
using or working on this unit (L43TRK3132AH). I have
the very basic data (from decoding the comb#), but
know little more than that about it.  It's currently
rocked up for two freqs somewhere in the 150 MHz area,
and has the handset (phone type) mic/spkr and is in
need of either a new cord for that, or a modification
over to a desk mic and cord.  I believe the PO is 40w.

Not sure how I'll use this yet.  Either re-crystal it
for ops on another freq for use as family comms and
business purposes, or convert it over to a couple
2-meter Amateur freqs (one simp, one rptr).

From the images I've seen, it looks like a nice unit
that could well be placed out in the open in the living
space in a residential home/office environment, but I
have no idea of it's actual physical size.

If someone could reference the LBI#'s of the service
and/or operational manual(s) for this, perhaps I can
get them on the way as well...
