[Motorola] 146.05 default frequency?

Installed a new Spectra Astro today.  Unit had a sheet that said it was =
set to factory defaults and needed programming before use.  Just to test =
the unit I keyed it and checked the transmit frequency.  It was on =
146.050.  Not sure what the receive frequency was.  It either was a =
different frequency, or had a CG programmed.  Anyway, how long has =
Motorola been using a two meter frequency as their "default" frequency?
