Brad sent a reply to my first message. It is attached below along with
my reply to it. How do you feel? Should Brad be allowed back on the
reflector or not?

In response to you removing me from the list I feel it was a bad choice.
I
do NOT condone illegal operations on any band and furthermore I never
stated
that operations in secure mode were legal in fact I did state that it
was a
gray area.
I feel your removal of me from the list is in error and would ask that
you
reinstate me to the subscriber list.

Brad.
A quote from your second post to the reflector.
"Sure it's illegal as all get out"
It is one thing to operate in an illegal manner by accident or
ignorance. It is
another to willfully do so. I fell your messages to the reflector
promoting
your use of the Motorola DES system on the amateur two meter band, and
trying to
recruit other to join you goes against the purpose of the reflector.
Again a
quote from one of your messages.
"If anyone here is in the South MPLS area and can run DES, keyload
1466400146040
into your radio with the remaining digits all zeros and try a check in
on
saturday nights around 1900 central."
I am familiar with the Motorola DES system. It requires a wider
bandwidth than
normal two meter FM operation. It also has acceptable, but degraded
audio
quality. Neither of these facts seems to me to be in accordance with
good
amateur practice.
If you wish to appeal my decision to remove you from the Motorola list,
please
contact "Alan L. Waller" <[email protected]>. He is the one who owns the
system the
reflector runs on. If he feels you should be added back to the Motorola
list, I
will do so.
Joe.
