True however we are only using it as a learning tool and we do publicly
display and offer keyloading to anyone who wants to play with secure capable
equipment. Many of us deal in secure radios on the professional level and want
a way to test and play with our findings. Sure it's illegal as all get out
however we do publish and advertise our code to the general ham community via
the other nets. I guess I look at it this way: The secure VHF and UHF repeater
that has been running in chicago has been running since the mid 1990's and no
one has been asked or confronted and they do not post keys and last I heard
its a members only system, guess I have to ask in argument how legal that
would be.
We are just playing and horsing around here and if someone wanted to listen in
clear mode they can do so on the remote base link which is clear only mode.
