There must still be some of that equipment lying around in warehouses,
storage rooms, and garages, but there is no market for it so it
can be hard to find it.

I attended the Timonium, Maryland hamfest today.  This is one of the
largest in the mid-Atlantic.  I did not see any all tube Motorola
equipment there.  Over the past couple of years I have seen a few
pieces of that era equipment, but it is rare.

OTOH, if you wanted anything newer, you could likely find it.  There were
U53MHT MOTRACs, as well as Micor, Mitrek, Syntor, Spectra, Maxtrac,
HT600, HT1000, etc., etc.  I looked, but already have too many radios
in the project queue so didn't buy anything.
