[MohawkARC] Field Day & Club Insurance Update

FIELD DAY UPDATE
The club has been approved to use the Malone Road Conservation Area off Mt. Jefferson Road in Hubbardston for Field Day this year.  (15 minutes from our regular meeting location or about 5 minutes off of Route 68).  Thanks to Bill Leger, N1UZ for speaking to the Town of Hubbardston and taking care of this!  We will be doing antenna set-up the afternoon of Friday, June 21st and then operating Field Day Saturday, June 22nd and Sunday, June 23rd.

CLUB INSURANCE UPDATE
For those who were unable to attend last month's meeting we voted to get liability insurance coverage through the ARRL.  The members present thought this was the right thing for the club to do and having liability insurance is needed for the use of most public areas for club activities such as Field Day.  The cost to the club was $200 and this payment has been mailed in.  The basic ARRL Club Liability Insurance policy provides up to $1,000,000 in coverage for each occurrence and up to $2,000,000 in aggregate coverage each year.  I have yet to have our policy in hand, but expect to receive it before our May meeting.
