Tonight the Field Day Committee met to go over plans. Present were Doug (KB1MCK), Bill (N1UZ), Paul (W1SEX), Nils (KA1IMO), and Kevin (N1ERS). We came up with what antennas we will be using and also cut up several hundred feet of the club's yellow coax into smaller and more manageable sections. We will be running a class 2A Field Day with 100% emergency (generator) power.

Antennas:
40 meter vertical (ground mounted with radials - LOTS OF THEM!!!) - coax feedline
20 meter vertical (mounted on a 20 ft mast) - coax feedline
Stacked 6 meter and 2 meter beam (mounted on a guyed extension ladder) - coax feedlines
80 meter wire beam (hung between trees in the back corner of the field) - 300 ohm twin lead

Station #1 - iCOM 746 Pro (HF/Digital Station)

Station #2 - iCOM 7000 (HF Station)

Station #3 - Kenwood 690 (6 meter station) & Yaesu FT-2900 (2 meter FM used with 10 element beam)
(Could count as our free VHF station meaning it will not count towards our transmitter total and we can still run as a class 2A)

Logging:
We will use N1MM logger and have the logging computers connected over a wireless network

Other Accessories:
We also have tuners, computers for logging, power supplies, generators, tables, and other things lined up for use.

Toilet:
Bill will be coordinating with Scotty's Potties to rent one for the weekend.

***NEXT MEETING - WEDNESDAY, MAY 23rd at DIFFERENT LOCATION**
Bill's House (N1UZ) 131 Old Westminster Road in Hubbardston. The reason for the different location is so we will have space for a project. At this meeting we will be working on building the 80 meter dipole/wire beam for Field Day. Paul, W1SEX, will be inviting students from the ham radio class to this meeting so they can see hands on antenna building.

73,
Doug
