Subject: [MohawkARC] Field Day - We Need People!

It's time to get moving with Field Day plans. Two possible locations for the event are the conservation area off 140 just north of Green St. and we are also looking at the area behind the prison.

Before we move on I need to know the following information from everyone.  We really need to get at least 10 people interested to make it fly.  That doesn't mean that everyone needs to be an overnighter, but at least present to set-up Saturday morning, hang out/operate during the day on Saturday and Sunday, and help with take down on Sunday afternoon.  Even if you have already told me, please respond to this so I can get an accurate count for interest.

1. Are you available and willing to commit your time for Field Day weekend June 24-25?
2. Please list all equipment you would be willing to let the club use. (HF rigs, antennas, coax, antenna tuner, power supply, extension cords, generators, tents/camper/RV/portable shelter/tarps, portable lighting, folding tables/chairs, etc.)

I am willing to commit for the full duration of the event and will be able to provide an HF radio, antenna tuner, coax, power supply, and dipole.  So there we have at least one complete station.  It would be great to run 2-3 stations for the event.

Please reply to me directly at douglepisto at verizon.net and let me know if you have any questions.

We are also in need of a meeting speaker for March 28th.  If you know of anyone or have suggestions please let me know.  Someone had mentioned something about an off-center fed dipole presentation, but I am unable to get any contact info for that presenter.  If anyone knows please let me know.

Thanks,
Doug
