Vice-President's Message
June 2011

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the members of the club for allowing me to serve as Vice-President this past year.  This year club has gained a lot of momentum with projects such as the repeater moving project and the new website.  It is an exciting time for the club which is why I am running for President for the upcoming year.  I hope to see all of you at meetings when we start up again after the summer and perhaps each of you can find someone new to bring to the club to help us grow.  Don't forget to visit the club's website at http://www.mohawkarc.org.  There are many interesting pieces of information, resources, and photos for you all to look at. 

As I am writing this message, I am getting ready to head out of town for a few weeks to finish work on my master's degree in Oregon.  Unfortunately, I will not be here for this month's meeting, but I am hoping to find a club out in "7 Land" that I can operate with for Field Day. Other than Field Day which will take place the weekend of June 25-26 I would like to highlight some other contests that will be taking place over the summer months.  IARU HF World Championship July 9-10, North American QSO Party RTTY July 16-17, North American QSO Party SSB August 20-21.  If you have some free time during those weekend I hope you are able to get on the air and operate.  Have a great summer!
