Greetings All,
Grundy County ARC's Missouri Day's booth is coming up in just one week!
(Saturday the 16th and Sunday the 17th). I'm still seriously in need of
some help, Please, if you live in north Mo, or are planning on visiting the
area that weekend, make a stop by to help out this booth.
I need the follow badly.
- People to man the booth Saturday the 16th, and Sunday the 17th,
- right now i have at least 3 people helping the booth, from as
far away as Johnson county ks, but the more the better.
- The people helping at the booth will primarily be used to chat
with people about ham radio. Hopefully we can encourage a few more people
to think about gettinga licence.
- Tables, Chairs
- those helping at the booth, you might want to bring a lawn
chair, as the few chairs i know we will have are limited, and frankly,
proally not very comfy.
- Tables, are still somewhat in need. I would like to have maybe 1
more table, i have confirmed at least 2, but I'd like to have 3 or 4,
anyone with card tables, long folding tables let me know, perhaps we can
come up with something.
Other Issues..
PARKING:
Parking at the MO-Days site will be hectic at best after
around 9:00am. Those persons helping with the fair booth, PLEASE, arrive
BEFORE 8:30am!! Those arriving After 9:30am will likely have to park a ways
away. (no more than 1/4mile from the festival site hopefully)
PARADE:
There is a Parade in Trenton that morning that will have
the main highway through town blocked from roughly 8:30ish to around 9:30
to 10:00am, Those NOT planning on arriving before 8:30ish need to plan on
this, if you want to help out, but can't arrive till after 8:30am, please
let me know and I'll provide you alternate routes.
FOOD:
There is numerous food sites around the booth, and fast
food chains are located along the main route through Trenton.
DRINKS:
Grundy County ARC will be providing some drinks for those
working the fair booth. (those planning on helping at the booth, please let
me know of any types of drinks you'd prefer so i can try to buy some stuff
that people will drink)
TALK-IN:
We will have a radio listening to 147.225Mhz, and
146.550Mhz, However, due to crowd noise and other factors we may not always
hear the first call, so if you miss us, try again.
Any other questions, or people wanting to get on my list of those who would
like to help, please contact me ASAP.
Thank You for your time,
Glen Briggs - KBØRPJ
