  Greetings, all. The Joplin Amateur Radio Club is sponsoring our Hamfest 2002. It will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2002,
at the John Q. Hammons Trade Center, next door to the Holiday Inn, in Joplin. From I-44, take exit 8-B, go north to the first
traffic light, go east 1/4 mile (in front of Sam's Wholesale Club) to the Trade Center. Talk-in will be on the club's 147.210
repeater (no tone). Hours are 8 am to 3 pm, major prizes, door prizes, bingo for the XYL and kids, private and commercial
tables available (with setup available Friday night). Tickets are * $5 in advance*, * $6 AT THE DOOR *. Walk-in ARRL VE
testing available, held at the Holiday Inn. Registeration starts at 9:30, testing starts at 10 am SHARP.

  ALSO, before I forget, we have a banquet on Saturday night at the Holiday Inn, with the guest of honor Bill Pasternak,
WA6IFT, "the Voice of Newsline".
