Howdy, Dave. There is a fair amount of activity, actually. There's several hams east of you here in EM27 (Joplin) that are
very active in 6m SSB and CW, I know that there's a few north of Springfield that's interested, too. Also, I'm trying to get
a 6m repeater up and running here in Joplin. I anticipate getting it up and running by the end of the month. It'll be at
53.250 out, 51.170 in. Hopefully, no PL. :-)
Oh, and before I forget, there's usually a 6m FM net here in Joplin on Thursday nights at 9 pm local. Charlie, KB0MSB,
usually runs it. He has quite a setup, a 5-element vertical Yagi at 100' up.
What kind of 6m all-mode are you getting? I got a good used FT-60 for Christmas. :-) Right now, it's my base rig, but it'll
be my mobile as soon as I get my Kenwood TS-660 fixed. :-)
And, last but not least, join the 50mhz Reflector at [email protected] ... I run it, too. :-)
