No particular brand of silicone, Bill. I buy it wherever I am at the time
such as an auto supply or Walmart, etc. It goes a long way to protect
metals. I used to spray my aluminum telescoping tent poles with it each season.
They slid nicely throughout the season because of it. Tent poles aren't made
that way anymore - both good and bad.
I also spray the exterior light sockets and receptacles at my house. It
does the most good when the parts are new, but it sure improves their
life, and you'll see a big difference when changing a light bulb. Good stuff.
Best,
Sonny N1KHB

That is a great idea Sonny, thanks for telling us that.
What brand / source of that Silicone spray do you use?
