[Mobile-Portable] More noise cures

Well Earl, as I stated in previous posts, they do - or at least did when I  
needed it. Just ask and see what happens. If they can help, they will. If 
they  can't, then look elsewhere. It's worth a try, no? And ARRL probably has 
contact  info even if the local dealers are scratching their collective 
heads.

Seems  like Ford should have a procedure to make the vehicle useable for
public  safety, utilities, etc.  If you were to ask the right person,  you
