Glad to share David. Am 66 here, so know where your coming from! hi hi
Using the Turbo Tuner with a TS-480HX running 200 watts into a HiQ 5/160
screwdriver antenna. There are a bunch of screwdriver antenna's out
there. Figured the wider the coil the better the efficiency and the
higher the Q, thus my choice. Next one will be HiQ 6/160 for the
additional improvement it makes on 80 and 160. Love working 160 mobile!
What is your mobile setup? Am sure we are all interested in what brings
you your hf mobile fun.
===========================
I have photo's in the TS480 forum showing two different mounting arrangements
on the rear of a Trail Blazer that would apply to any vehicle with a RV
towing option. Tow bar assembly should be heavy duty tubular steel with
all sections welded to each other and to the vehicle frame. That
provides a built in rf ground to the two bar slot. How ever also
recommend running a ground cable from the vehicle frame to the antenna
mount ground too.
Photo's include couple gear installs too, along with text files explain
equipment used.
