I'm thinking the same thing -- it's worth a try, especially if the alternative is replacing the whole thing.

Of course, since I have pretty much a complete set of MasterMobile gear, I might end up using that if this big coil doesn't turn out.

It's one of the side supports. Six of them in there. I'm thinking I might be able to loop a piece of string or wire inside the coil to reposition the support and then glue it. Might work, only one end is separated, the other end is still connected, probably by a whisker.

I'm not sure which support is in question.  If it's the center solid section (doubtful) you could probably get that from Henry Allen (Texas Bugcatcher maker).  If it's one of the four inside spacers, you'll have to replace the entire coil from the same source.

I started working on my HF Mobile station just a few days ago by driving
into the garage without taking the antenna off! I broke one of the
vertical supports inside my Texas Bugcatcher coil. I just hung it in the
garage while I wonder how to repair it.
