[Mobile-Portable] Installing radios in a New Dodge truck

Hi Brian,
I don't believe the 731 has a detachable control head, so it will be
tough to find a spot for it out of the way but still safely with reach. I
would look at a pedestal mount, maybe fastened to the transmission tunnel. I
have mounted most of my radios for the past 15 years with this method. They
can be very easy to adapt to different locations. There are many companies
that make and sell them, just make sure you get one that will easily hold
your radio, some are not made for much weight.

I hope this is the correct place to ask this question.
Just bought me a brand new 2010 Dodge truck and wondering if anybody on the
list here has any suggestions on where to mount a dual band Kenwood radio.
Its a older radio, Kenwood 731.
Any ideas or suggestions would be great.
73,
Brian
