Oh, boy, I'm learning a lot here. Relearning, more like. I have a
Bandspanner coming and have the dead tree version of the docs
(although the PDF would be nice too) but the information on the caps
is wonderful. Were they also needed for the higher bands or just 80 &
40m?
I would also like to find a Master all-band coil (or enough
information to duplicate one) since there was an item in the Feb 1959
QST about adding caps to one to make it automatically band switch.
Since it was written pre-WARC, those bands aren't included however a
little careful cogitation and a bit of Jameson's should make short
work of that if desired.
At the moment, I have a Gonset Super 6 converter I'd would like to
build a mobile rig around for use in my Jeep to go to the Bandspanner
while the Master coil's antenna will probably go with an HW-101. Of
course, if I can find something more appropriate for them agewise,
being able to afford it would be the only roadblock.
Best regards,
Michael, WH7HG
