Thank you for all your informtion, I am looking forward to getting everything installed and getting on the air with it. I was wondering if it will also work on 6 meters ? I know I used to be able to get my screwdriver antenna to resonate on 6 meters. I might even be able to work you one day soon.

They work like gangbusters, especially on 75m.
However, their SWR bandwidth is VERY small.
I used a "pre-bucatcher" setup for years in
the 1960s and 1970s that was made by Master
Mobile with single band coils, 3' base section,
and 5-8' whip.

When it was resonant (no reverse power) on CW,
it was such high Q on 75 that the energy of
my lower sideband would bring a small bit of
reflected power!

That's one way to know your antenna is WORKING!

Tom,

Yes I do, Thank you. Also I would like to hear about other peoples'
results with the antenna. I did get the film reel disk and I was
wondering if other people used that as well.

Thanks,

Eric

Can someone send me installation and assembly instructions
for the Texas Bugcatcher ?

----------

Eric...

I have a 2 page instruction sheet that came with one of the
last bug catchers Henry had in stock. You still need one?
